Country Basket of Blossoms
available on etsy
Christelle of Karooart alerted me this morning that one of my pendant beads was featured on THE ART ZOO blog, a blog that features all sorts of artwork by various artists. I'm honored!available on etsy
The basketweave is a cane I created using a tutorial by Jana Roberts Benzon on polymer clay central; the leaves are also slices of canes. The blossoms are formed from freshwater pearls and dots of polymer clay.
I distressed the clay before baking, and antiqued it using acrylic paint. It was then sanded and buffed.

It looks wonderful and deserves to be promoted on the Art Zoo.
That's great Jael, good for you! It really is a gorgeous pendant.
Oh my gosh that's BEAUTIFUL! Great job on getting featured. =]
that's pretty! i like it.
How beautiful! The Art Zoo is a lovely blog, and this piece certainly deserves to be showcased on it.

Hi Jael,
I'm passing along a Blog Award (yes, here's another!) to you. Visit my blog to see what I'm talking about!
Vicki
congrats, keep up the good work :)
I can see why-- it's absolutely marvelous. There's so much to look at on it. I've played around with Sculpey before, but certainly compared to this, that's what I was doing-- playing around. Astounding to see what it can become.
Amazing. I love your work
