The basketweave is a cane I created using a tutorial by Jana Roberts Benzon on polymer clay central; the leaves are also slices of canes. The blossoms are formed from freshwater pearls and dots of polymer clay.
I distressed the clay before baking, and antiqued it using acrylic paint. It was then sanded and buffed.
It looks wonderful and deserves to be promoted on the Art Zoo.

ReplyDeleteI can see why-- it's absolutely marvelous. There's so much to look at on it. I've played around with Sculpey before, but certainly compared to this, that's what I was doing-- playing around. Astounding to see what it can become.
